from what I remember..
there was a uranium processing plant there in the 1950's that had been cleaned up and was an empty lot.
Yenko rented it as a storage lot in the 1960s and 70s.
the EPA declared it a Radiation Hazard site in the 1980s and fenced it off and did another clean up including capping it so now the grade is a lot higher then it was when Yenko used it.
