65-66 427/425HP & Z16 Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner

I have 2 original GM flat bottom dual snorkel air cleaners for sale. One is an amazing survivor and the other needs to be restored. These air cleaners were only used on 65-66 fullsize Chevrolets with the 427/425HP engine and 65 Z-16 396/375HP Chevelles.




Air Cleaner 1:

This is an awesome survivor air cleaner. It still wears its original paint. There are no breaks, modifications, or repairs. The only damage I see in a small dented area on the edge of the base as shown. This is minor and would be an easy fix if it bothered you. The snorkels are fantastic. The breather tube is intact with the original flame arrestor. Even the original 6421970 ID tag is still intact as shown.The lid is excellent with no dings or dents. If you have a Z16, the lid would be an excellent candidate to chrome.

Air Cleaner #2

This air cleaner is a original GM unit that needs a full resto. There is pitting throughout that should fill in with a few passes of primer. The snorkels are dented have have rust at the ends as shown. The breather tube is missing. The lid have 2 dented areas. The carb notch is intact and unaltered. Although this unit is rough, it is original and certainly restorable.
