Just in case anyone needs to know.

Apparently the "short" cap was only used on early FI cars with transistor ignition. It measures 3 and 5/8 inches from the bottom of the cap to the top of an outer tower.

The taller version is about the same as the black 309 caps, measuring 3 and 13/16.
