Curious, I can understand the 3rd member deal, IF you need something, then you modify your train of thought and upgrade. BUT why the A-arms??? Is it just a weight thing or more chassis oriented Benny?? I run OEM Mustang II stuff on my '69 ACADIAN and that car has been in the 7's in the 1/4. I have seen some aftermarket stuff either break outright or cause other conditions that could be hard to overcome with some major $$$ to spend, just ran into that on my '61 front end. I admit "most" company's are good and reputable too, but some still fail. There was a certain LARGE name company that did the control arms on my friends FOX body mustang. It CAUSED him to crash the car when the weld let go just past the beams at 180+MPH!!!!!!!!!

John, I;ll try to answer your question on the A-arms. New technology is helpful tool. The tubular A-arms are lighter, and just as strong as the stamped ones. But you don;t buy THE cheap brand ones. You only get what you pay for. Look at the new corvette, the A-arms on that car are alum. I know the car is lighter, but you don;t hear about any front end issues. Look at all the cars that are in the 7-9 second times. What are they running on their cars? Regards Benny

We put the the new tubular arms in. Now a front end alignment. Then change out the cast iron center section. On the 9-inch rear for the new alumium one. And we;ll be racing! The Dutchman
