That was indeed a terrific game. One of the long time stars for us (Hefford) grew up just down the road from us. My daughter was a goalie on one of her teams 16 years ago or so.
It is unfortunate that in a tournament such as this you have to lose to win the Silver medal. I was very proud for our Canadians, but you sure feel for the Americans. It will take some time for them to really appreciate the Silver. It was nice to see several of the Americans actually breaking a smile when they got their medal [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/smile.gif[/img]
Men's game is now at the second intermission. Another classic so far. We need to stop taking penalties or it will come back to haunt us.
