Cool pics. Looks like fathom blue? You seemed a little thinner back then. White pants under the car? I bet Vera started chewing your butt early on about that.
What were you turning for RPMs on the big end? |

yes thinner. 205 now and 175 back then. Biggest problem is that my wheelbase shrunk some over the years! LOL White pants were in Mayor. We all wanted to be like Grumpy. He wore white pants alot back then. Going thru the traps at around 6,000 from what I remember. Needed to be singing alittle more for a better ET. Dusk blue in 1969 I believe.

Yep the dusk blue would be right. Was thinking 70. I remember white pants. I wore them a lot too. Didn't do much with bell bottoms though.
I would have thought your trap RPMs would have been higher with the lower gears. Must have been a taller slick. That's good though. 7 k's better for a 302. 6 on an LT1 is still pullin |

that is why we were going to change gears. The tire was 29" tall, 9" wide. I wore bell bottoms. Wish I had them now. They are worth a few hundred bucks from the 70's and made in USA!
