Joe the Gremlin X looks like one we used to have except ours had the white stripe down the side. It was a 304 auto car. Fun car that would burn the tires off of itself if you wanted to.

Not to jack the thread and I hope you locate your car but, saw a 2700 mile Gremlin X, 304 4 speed green w/white stripe in an airplane hanger today.....
