I love the cornering lamps on the 68-69's. I had one of the first 2000 Carousel Red Judges built in January 69 that had cornering lamps. Had no idea what they even were then. White is sweet on that body. Nice car.

From documents I have received from the GM Heritage Center, 1.9% of A-bodies had the cornering light. That is for all A-bodies so you cannot apply that number to GTOs specifically.

This one went across the Mecum Auction block last year. Rare combination being a 1969 RAIV convertible 4-speed, and supposedly ordered with optional 4.33 gear. This was a manual steering/pwr brake car.

Great GTO Johnny! I wonder when the last street action was for that IV convertible in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area?

I am pretty sure he and his wife ran that car until his death in 1983. After that, the neighbor, Ken Osborne, bought it and then restored it. On its completion it won Best Restored at the 1990 GTO Nationals and then Otis Chandler and Greg Joseph bought it.
It has been in my collection for 14 years.....
