Ok, I got the repro bezels today. They actually look and fit great, but they do have the chrome tip fins throughout. I think I'm gonna just paint the middle fins on these repro's and be done with it. Thanks again for the advise.

Hey Bill,
We met a few months ago at the AACA national meet at Carlisle. Our trailers were parked close to one another and I had my red 68 original/survivor Nova SS with me. I bought this car from Brent396, a member here, a year and a half ago. FWIW, even though mine is a 68 the headlight bezels are the same as the Acadia pictured above on the dealer brochure, ie; top and bottom ribs are chrome and ribs in middle are black. I can't see the pics you posted from my office computer, all I see are squares with red X's. Are you going to Hershey? If so what are you taking? I am taking my 68 for the second leg of judging in the HPOF class. Let me know if you are going and I'll look for you.

Dave

I need to amend my above post. My 68 is NOT like the above pic of the Acadian in the dealer brochure. It is like the bottom pic of your original post. I was on my office computer and it was blocking your pics (pisses me off). I thought about it on the way home from from work and went to the garage and looked. The Acadian has chrome directly around the headlight-the Nova SS has black. Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks again for the replies gentlemen. I will be painting the 5 middle fins black to match the grill.

I remember your Nova well Dave. The headlight bezels will be the correct black out look. Not a big teal. I really just want them to match the grill. The fun of this car is that I can do what I want with it, and not think about 100% correctness.

I'm not taking a car to Hershey, but I do intend on coming. I'll track you down.
