Default Re: 67 427-435 Corvette

Does it have the tank sticker? Even a warranty replacement is no different that a replacement motor. Is the block casting number 3904351 or is it a 1968 or later casting number? Chances are good that it is a block later than the car.
I'd rather have a correctly dated correct casting number (proceeding the build date of the car) than a warranty replacement that's later than the car. The judging venues offer no grace or concessions for a warranty replacement. I don't mean to be harsh on this topic, but if you're looking to purchase this car, don't be swayed by any argument about a warranty replacement block being anything other than a replacement engine.
