Please explain that one? </div></div> I have a couple cars with sequential fisher body numbers that are also very similar with regard to options. The cars are 25 VIN units apart. I have not done any in depth research on the topic, but it seems fisher body organized their body production by body style and options. So similarly optioned big block convertibles, Z28s or yenko camaros for example would have probably been grouped into a batch, therefore having similar or sequential body numbers. The vin numbers were probably assigned on a "first come first served" basis. Since the body's were produced close in time, their VIN would be close as well, but not necessarily sequential Just my hypothesis... |
