Tom and I were sitting on a picnic table talking and I saw this guy walk into the pavilion where we were. I thought to myself, "That looks like Larry Dixon", but, ........ c'mon, ............. Larry Dixon in White Hall, IL? .......... No Way! Hmmmm. I've been wrong before!
Larry had shoulder surgery about ten days ago and was still in a little pain, but he was in great spirits and has a pretty cool sense of humor. I asked him about the sling/cast he was wearing and he said he had some kind of shoulder surgery but he had trouble remembering what they called it. He said, "it's something like 'Radiator Cap' ". We were blown away to see him and had no idea he was coming. He spent the entire day with us and appeared to thoroughly enjoy himself. He signed autographs for anyone who asked, .... but he signed everything "Larry Dixon's DAD". He said that's his real Claim to Fame. I've met Larry, Jr a couple of times and he's just like his Dad; Just your average, everyday guy. Very cool people. Link to some pix from the show below, but on behalf of ALL the WHDOW gang I want to extend our Thanks to Tom, Diana and Drew for once again making the long trip to spend the day with us. The Clary Family are top-notch people and you're always welcome in our part of the country. Remember Drew, next year we're going to the track! Slide Show
