I also had another goofy issue that also got resolved.......As we were driving along, the radio started to "Crackle".......I assumed the front speaker was going bad.....switched the fader and the rear speakers did the same thing.....Humm!!......Ended up calling Steve who converted the Radio and described what was going on.....he said that I had a suspect Ground or Power supply connection to the radio......looked around and found a Terminal that I used for a power supply to the radio that was connected to a spade on the fuse panel that had the plastic melted .......pulled it off and it was loose on the spade......the friction fit had loosened to where there wasn't a direct connection and the resistance created heat.......Changed the terminal and everything was fine.......Radio Margaritaville for the whole trip......
