RPO M20 doesn't mean "Muncie". As far as I know, it was just the RPO code for "4-speed (wide ratio)". GM decided what trans to use based on the engine. In this case, it probably is a saginaw. </div></div> I would agree with this perspective...many Nova build sheets list M-20...that merely told the Fisher Body boys they needed to cut a hole in the floor for a manual tranny...not sure if this carries over to Chevelle docs...but, I can tell you that one of my hotrod buddies from back in the day had a similar car and it had a Saginaw "iron case gear selector"...you guys can take it from there. wilma
