All the 455 equipped 1972 GTOs should have came with the M22.
Someone picked up the 1971 M22 I had for sale but I guess it wasn't you.

Correct. Any Pontiac with a 455HO in 71 and 72 came with the M22 - GTOs and Firebirds.

</div></div> Some clarification: - The base 455 was only available with an automatic. - The HO was available with a 4-speed or automatic (I assume you meant to say "All the 455 equipped <span style="font-style: italic">four-speed</span>..." ![]() - The 455 HO was available on the LeMans, LeMans Sport, and LeMans GT too. - The 3-speed was available behind the HO but only in 1971. |
