The ad was posted by "Dennis Tuttle". You may remember him and his Burnished brown COPO Camaro...

He spun me quite a story - he had 3 ZL1 engines: an unstamped 1969 vintage piece, the green automatic engine from a detroit ZL1, and 4-speed engine out of a silver ZL1 from , I think, Connecticut
I said why so cheap? he said he was trying to get some fast money for a 1970 Ram Air V Judge he was buying for 250K. when I offered that Pontiac never factory-installed the Ram Air V in any Judge he said - "I can send you the PHS on the car, it says 'factory heavy duty equipment engine'. They built 1 4-speed and one auto." Anyways, he wanted $10,000 in cash before he would show anybody the alleged ZL1 Camaro. If you didn't like what you saw, you get your money back. I thanked him for his time. |
