Garnet Red is a great color on a 69 Chevelle.
In the late 80's I paid 2k for a 69 SS 396 4spd faded white with a black vroof motor apart in the trunk and the muncie hung with a piece of baling wire from the firewall. Didn't think anything about checking to figure the original color (I could have cared less as I would paint them whatever color I wanted back then) When I looked up the cowl tag numbers I learned it was originally Garnet Red... I thought who would ever paint a factory Garnet Red car white? I painted it Garnet with the black roof and black bench, it was beautiful! I wish I could have them all back!
