It had been a while since I used my line lock, but I have the "modern Hurst" unit that has the aluminum heat sink installed in 1992.

I think I could enagauge the line lock, press the brake pedal and the brakes would still work, just wouldn't release. My car is a 4 speed with just the front hooked up.

I guess they all don't work the same?
