Thought same. Someone must've stepped-up (big) post-block on the Cobra ...?

Cobra was a great car with less than 7,000 miles. Definitely not a car to flip in this market, but a beautiful centerpiece for any collection. Of all the copos, I liked the "Blue Mule" - neat options. The car just needed to spend a few days with one of the restorers on this site to fix some of the small issues - would have made a lot of difference on the block IMO.

Don't know anything about the Gold/Green COPO other than it is a great looking car. I saw it in the staging lanes on Saturday. The White/Red COPO was also a beautiful car. Does anybody know what it was bid to?

Regards,

Mark

According to Vern B's post, it was sold for $130.

these copo prices resemble those from last years auctions where the RG Roger Dean was bought by Rick H for 105 and Mark B's Cortez around 125. Considering the # of really nice cars on the market and that so many were hurt in this economy, I guess we should view it as a positive that certain cars have held their value, they are still trading hands & not really devalued in the last year.

With housing, some manufacturing & the stock market in rebound mode, it could be that we've hit a plateau and this is the new normal, or that better days/higher prices are ahead with car guy's being more confident in their cash-flow futures. It's still a buyers market now & everybody with cash knows that
