My grandfather, Hazen Streit, started Streit Chevrolet in West Los Angeles in the late 1940's. He moved the dealership to La Mesa in the late 1950's. He passed the business down to my Uncle and Dad in 1968. The showroom and lot were in downtown La Mesa, somewhere around Baltimore/University/Spring Street -- can't remember exactly where, but it will come to me. They sold the business in the early 70's to Bob Stall. Thanks for the memories, and it's great to know there are still some treasured license plate frames out there!
