Sachs is a division of LuK, the largest OEM clutch manufacturer on the planet; they make good stuff - you'll find Sachs clutches in Porsches and Mercedes (and in Formula 1 cars, but their 5&quot; clutches are a bit above your price point) [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif[/img]

I put one in my wife track day / autocross Vw golf going on 7 plus very hard years no problems. Also have one to install in my 73 Corvette with a mild 375 HP 350 .Very nice stuff .

Sachs is actually a division of ZF Industries, not LUK.

I have an AC Delco replacement clutch that is stamped Sachs. I also have Centerforce and McCleod pressure plates that are stamped Valeo. Apparently like so many other things these days clutches are reboxed and sold under several different names.

Interested as to where Verne originally heard of Sachs clutches.
