Nice guy, met him at Dryden Flight Research Center which is co-located on Edwards AFB Ca when I worked as a contractor for NASA in the mid 90's
got to meet a few of the older NASA guys as well as some of the new guys/gals going through training. Got to see some neat research vehicles as well.. Where else can a person get to get time in a simulator that other governments pay $$$$$, free :P RIP Mr Armstrong, your once again looking down on earth

Hey Jeff,
Were you there in '92? I spent the year on South Base but the food at the local AFEES facility was 100% grease/fat, so we used to eat lunch frequently at the NASA cafeteria, which took 15 minutes drive time each way. Ran into John Perry there frequently, if you worked with him, long time test guy, I'm more into the weapons systems side. He has since retired and is not doing so well health-wise. Neil was on the company payroll at some capacity for years, and I'll bet he got quite a bit of email from Neita who works at my facility. She was next to him in Outlook. Not sure what he did for us, probably on the board of directors. JB |
