Not uncommon to have malibu door panels on an SS, or even one of each. Whatever was handy on the line.

That's true for most 1970 454 chevelles,because the translation to the new Z-15 454 option over the Z-25 396 option was not completely understood in the beginning,and they didn't specifically call out the B-22 SS door emblems on the buildsheet.
Chevrolet picked up on the omission mid production,and issued a TSB telling the line to start including SS door emblems from now on. |
