Today i picked up this MSD 5500 Cap and Rotor.
I plan to install it in one Hundred miles when i hit the 500 mile mark for my Motor break in.
The MSD has copper terminals on the cap and rotor and is made of the much thicker Phenolic resin. It also looks very close to stock as it comes in Black !
I will let everyone know how it performs.
The GM Cap and rotor will come off soon, those have the aluminum terminals.

Car is running good and i look forward to hitting the 500 mile mark to do another timing set/valve lash/fresh Autolite #25 Spark plugs and oil + filter change.
I will also be converting my 1970 Challenger over to a Pertronix electronic ignition with a new Cap and Rotor with copper terminals and fresh Autolite #85 spark plugs, car is long over do for a needed tune up as it has been over 7 years since it's last tune up and it does need one.

RR165. If any of you still have points, use the CS7860. They are the best! The rotors RR167 & RR169, kinda suck.

Thanks for the heads up on the RR165 Tim, ran over and picked up one last night and put on the Chevelle.

Other nice thing is that the one I picked up was MADE IN USA !!! Don't see that much anymore.

Jake
