at the county hall of records for the address on the protectoplate, you should be able to pull the current owner deed for that address and trace back from there to find the prior owners of the property. each deed will usually have some kind of verbage that says more or less the following...." being the same land and premises conveyed from john Doe to Joe Smith on Dec 25, 1969 in Deed Book 1234 page 326." Many deeds now can be pulled on-line on the county websites !! But most websites only go back so far..not to the 1960's... If not, you may be able to hire a title searcher to do this for you..they are specialists and will charge a small fee, but very reasonable... Good Luck !!
