we will never live this down, will we? Yes a Nu Yawk survivor!! The original owner (I knew him also before he passed) lived only a few hundred feet from the ocean, I can't wait to see the long term salt damage. I am trying to convince my pal to just make it go, stop and steer, and hit the local show circuit with some Dizzy Gillespie. |

News from the auto shop. They recommend a complete engine rebuild. It obviously needs valve guide seals which requires head removal with a flat head, estimates at about $6000.00 to redo the motor correctly. Add in brakes, gas tank and lines, maybe some suspension pieces and bearings just to be safe and we have a half done project. For a guy who is able to do his own work, I think this would be the ultimate Patina-Woody as the body and interior are good enough to cruise with. (as long as you can stand the smell of mouse wiZZ)

The car is back home and he has decided to sell it or trade up or down for a 46 Chevy pick-up. figures if you're gonna throw money at something, get something you really want. (great idea)
I know car guys will get these first three photos. My friend found it odd what amused me. ![]() |

Honestly I was amazed at the condition of most of the wood. The roof is just those slats with (painted?)canvas on the outside. |
