Warning: Bank Scam

My mother-in-law, who is 85 years old, sent a pretty decent sized check to help "The poor hare-lipped children". She was then bombarded with requests for money to help every kid in Africa. She sent thousands of dollars before the wife found out. The scammers ply on thier feelings, making them feel guilty if they don't help everyone. I'm sure there are some real charities out there, but you have to be very selective as to who you help.
