Default Re: Adam Tuckman's B- Motion Chevelle - MCR April 2012

Cool ride. I was wondering though ,why the article states , "Holes for the Baldwin Motion badges that we're still on the fenders were among the clues that this was an original Motion Chevelle. The Motion emblems were not held on with nuts (or speed nuts). They don't have long studs off the back of them. My motion car has the long emblems which are cut in the chrome finned valve covers & are 2 sided taped in & the emblems on the car itself are held on in the same manner , ( since my 1971 Z car only has 23,0000 mile on it ,I would say that's exactly how it should be. My emblems 2 sided tape on the backside of the emblems looks to be yellowed out & dry rotted from its side view ,but not falling off so I' m saying that's how it should be. I've also got many sets of smaller emblems & yes they have very small studs off the backside , that's how they were made in the old style clay molds. And the extra emblems I have ,also have really old & badly yellowed out cracked up 2 sided tape. Did you possibly mean the 454 Emblem on the fender ????? I'm not trying to bash anyone or there car , I love it ,I'm just trying to correct the Motion statement !!! We're you talking about the 454 fender emblem ?? Your car is Supremely Awesome.... Thanks Jeff..
