I too had a 1969 Buick Stage 1 Diplomat blue? hardtop in 1972 (2nd year of High School). The car had every option you could get in 1969, power / reclining passenger bucket seat, tilt, cruise control, a/c ect. It was a factory car out of Gross Point Park Michigan, I was the second owner. That car would beat Olds W-30 442's, 440 Chargers & Ram air GTO's all the time. I wrote Buick in 1976 to ask for production information on the Stage 1 1969 cars. I believe they said there were 1275 Stage 1 cars made in 1969 with 212 of them being convertibles. The torque that car had was unreal! I sold it in 1982 when I got married. Memories.....
