Found this thread while looking for something else, so I may as well report out:

We tapped 10 trees and ended up with about 20 gallons of sap, so reducing it down netted about 3 pints of the good stuff.

Very strange season this year, I'm told, because of the warm weather. Sap only ran for about a week or 10 days here, so I think we did pretty good for our first time.

Wow thats all it ran in Michigan, just 10 days? We tapped our trees president day weekend, a total of 90 4 gallon buckets. Boiled every weekend after for three weeks and ended up with 13.5 gallons of syrup. Thats roughly 550 gallons of sap collected. It was a very good year here in NY for Maple syrup.
