I have not gotten too much farther...did find a brand new set of mickey thompsons N50s with nubs still for $150 and some front rocket wheels (3 hr ride to go pick up still). air shocks work. should be ready in spring. thanks for asking...learned that Rocket Wheels are freaking hard to find, yet were popular back in the day2. 15 x 10 Rockets are just 'unobtainium'. |

You can tell by how the tire bead was "sucked in" near the bead compared to the tread width. I have seen 15 x 8 Cragars(and 15 x 8.5 slots) on N50's and they are identical on how the tire is sucked in. On one thread I posted a Chevelle with 15 x10 Rockets on N50's and you can tell the difference. |

Whitetop, I have definitely learned a lot from you (not the first time). I am including the following shots to reinforce your point. These are old pics of when the car was picked up. the inside shot does look like its quite a way away from the drum fins, so really no offset. the outside shot just is for more info. thanks for the help (again!).

here are some I got from the last owner on a CD. the car has white spray bomb paint underneath as it had a white roof, white side stripes and black out hood. Original owner still has 340 badges he used to swap out for the 440 badges. To be day 2 correct, I have to put the 340 badges on. It is also missing a dual snorkel aircleaner he ran with flexible fresh air tubes hanging off it (a mr norms item I think). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Do you have any more pics of it with wheels that it had on it when you found it. I am working on a day 2 project challenger and am trying for that look

darren, if the rocket bolt pattern turns out to be chevy only, I will call you, and you can decide if you want. they came off a 70s show car.
