Thx for the replies, decision made. Another question, for a frame off restored driver, what are the best methods for keeping the tank looking fresh/new.? I know the welded seems should be cleared with something to prevent rusting, any other ideas out there.? Thx again

After you get your brand new tank, give it a good even solvent wiping on the outside, then wipe a coat of Boeshield T-9 all over it.
I've done this every fall before storage & it still looks brand new.

I Have a Spectra Gas tank and it was cleaned really well with brake cleaner then wiped dry.
I then put a Satin Clear coat of Tremclad rust paint on with a clean rag.
I havent touched the tank in years.
