I bet High School was a long time ago. This car is amazing and the ZL1 is very impressive but, is still wrapped in that ugly skin. Mustang 1 ZL1 0

Yes, High School WAS a long time ago. I agree the Shelby is a beautiful car but being a Ford : "Sometime in your ownership you WILL have the heads off it" probably because the seats fell out of them or the head gaskets leak. I am sure there will be a long line of people willing to pay $5/10,000 over list for the first ones off the line. I admit the car is very cool looking.

I've never had those issues with a Ford, Cleveland, Windsor, Modular or otherwise. At least no more so than I've had with Chevrolets or Mopars.

Just spent the past two years hitting a 190,000 original mile, untouched 85 Mustang GT with a 150 shot every weekend with zero issues. Sold it this fall and the new owner is doing the same thing. And that's far from the first time I've pumped enough nitrous through a stock, high mileage small block Ford to send it into orbit with no negative results.

I'm not sure where you get the "you WILL have the heads off" thing from, but 20 years of extensive experience with late model Ford V-8s tells me you've been misinformed.
