I worked for a Steel Service Center in the eighties & nineties that’s main product line was stainless steel. The company owner had to have a DeLorean and I got to take it out and abuse it on many occasions.
It had a Peugeot / Renault engine that only put out about 130 hp, it handled well but performance wise was a real dog. My boss was a big (fat) guy and had quite a problem getting in and out. I had the opportunity to purchase it on lease’s end for a cheap price – but passed. What turned out to be a wise decision!

Glenn, you are lucky that your boss didn't get stuck in the car...one of the weak links was the door handles...they broke, effectively trapping the occupant in the car (since only a portion of the window rolled down) [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/haha.gif[/img] [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif[/img] [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif[/img]

I remember seeing over a hundred of them sitting in a distribution lot alongside Rt287 in the Sommerset area of NJ.
