Car sure is getting around.Saw and took some pics at Mecum a couple years back,very nicely done.Looks great in Garnet Red!!

It says recreation ZL1 with OEM ZL1 engine. I don't know the story here but I have to ask, why not try to reunite the motor with the correct car if it still exists?

----I would have thought that almost any ZL-1 would have the wide 69 spoiler as they are a bit later production. Am I wrong???.......Bill S

If memory serves me right the yellow Berger #3 ZL1 that Bill Porterfield and later Charley Lillard owned, had the short spoiler.

Owner of the Real Red ZL1 doesnt care that much about the original motor to pay that much to have it in his car! He bought it without the original motor and it didnt bother him then or now..

I recently watched an episode of Chasing Classic Cars where a red ZL1 was sold out of the Milton Robson collection. The car didn't have the original engine in it but, after the car was sold, the owner of the original engine was said to have approached the new owner and offered to sell him the motor. This wouldn't happen to be that car would it?
