Sometimes a hotrodders best tools are a grinder/grinding wheel and the infamous blue flame wrench!

The "Ricks" Tank showed up also.........But........The fuel level module was on back order so I'll have to wait to put it in.........Ordered a Heat exchanger and a new smaller A/C compressor to fit into the low mounting space.........

Made a little progress today with a setback also........First.....Talked to the Edelbrock Tech guy today and was told ........"Gee".......You are the first one to have problems with the coils hitting the injectors......LOL........I sent him pictures and haven't heard a word since.........Next......the A/C compressor I had on the car with plans to move it down low fell apart as the compressor is too big to fit in that area available........Gonna have to go with the smaller SD-7 Compressor........So....I made a low compressor mount today just like I made for the LSA in the Chevelle.......Feeling good........Get home and put it on and something didn't look right.....LOL........Duhhhh!!!.......I assumed that the dedicated A/C drive belt position would be in the same place as the LSA.........LOL..........1 3/16" difference.........Guess I get to make another one tomorrow........Darn !!!!..........But......I did get the driver side Aluminum Edelbrock Coil cover clearance for the master cylinder and alternator brackets......Also took the radiator back out so I have some room to get the compressor fit and mounted in that lower position.......two steps backward and one step forward......

BAD Edelbrock customer service with the Tech Guy that never called you back or emailed you.....that really urks me

Don't bother with emails or calls. You will have much better results sending a certified letter directly to the CEO of a corporation. You can get their corporate address via googling the company. I recently had a horrendous experience at a car rental car outlet, out west. When we got home from vacation I sent an 8-page letter to their CEO at corporate headquarters complete with photos of the 3 hour line, witness contact information, and statements from other customers there with us, who heard the manager threaten the customers if we called customer service on them. I sent the certified letter with tracking and a signature request. Forty five minutes after they received it, (according to the online tracking) I got a call from the CEO apologizing profusely, who immediately refunded half my rental. They also sent a team of investigators to experience for themselves what happens there. They ended up sacking the entire staff who were operating like a rogue bunch of pirates, intimidating and overcharging customers. Very satisfying to know that the guy whose name was at the top of the company list, got directly involved once he knew what was happening at the street level.

I apologize for hijacking this thread, but the above post helped me with a recent visit at a very large tire retailer out here in the southwest. Within 24 hours after my letter to the CEO was received, I was contacted, my issue addressed, and they actually exceeded my expectations!

OK, hijack over.
