I've had to soak the pump bushing every once in a while on my blue pump. If not, it would lock up with heat.

I do mod them though with this:

That's the coolest!
Have you been searching old pics looking for the paint scheme?
What year fender coves does it have and any chance they're red inside?
I like historic racing fiberglass too and have saved a few cool chunks over the years.
Although only one's off a car, the below pic is of 3 pieces w/ very significant racing histories.

Cool collection of body parts .. Guy I got the nose from didn't know any history on it . Didn't see any red paint . Still looking at vintage pic see if I can find some history. I can tell you it takes up some space ...

i have been holding onto a fiberglass nose to a 'Kenny Kereskey " camaro for about 20 years..it seems to be from an Iroc type Camaro...maybe 89? and I guess it was from a 'Super gas ' car? Something like that..?? Was hoping he would be as famous as John Force some day !! I'll try and post a pic if anyone is interested...not exactly Day 2...but still kind of neat.

A friend of mine gave me a 1975 Midwest Auto Specialties catalog today. I'm sitting here going through it and have found a couple of interesting things.
The Holley pumps that were being discussed a couple of pages ago are in this cat., and even though the pictures are b/w, you can tell that the entire pump body is painted. Also it does have the US type decal.
They are calling the Mallory Mark II coils the new design over the old Flash Fire coils and the YL distributors have the standard type caps that use boots instead of the two piece style that the wire slides into. The only distributors that have that type cap are the Rev-Pol series.
This cat. is a great Day 2 piece, around 100 pages. I will post anything else of interest.

Cool stuff fellas, sorry if we've totally hijacked this thread.
The red coves thought came from an early 80's Trans-Am series 'Vette that had a similar paintjob and was maybe a Greenwood car, if Larry Pantera was here he'd probably know!
Yes please post the KK glass also if anyone else here has more please post it too!
I don't have a digi shot of the yellow piece but the below pics are active racing shots of the other 2 pieces seen in my above picture.
Matching the white #10 pics is easy, race pic is Aug. 1985 and driver MW.
The black piece w/ orange showing partly showing @ the bottom right of the upper picture is #97 in the below pic, Jan. 1981 and driver GV.
Both were Formula-1 drivers who are gone now so please keep their names out of any replies as there's waaay more to both stories and I don't want to attract attention people searching their names may create.
Lots more 'junk' here!

Has anyone ever seen a set of these? They are BBC Edelbrock finned aluminum valve covers that were cast by Mickey Thompson. They are duplicates of Mickey Thompson valve covers except they mave the Edelbrock script cast into them.

I believe so. The Mr. Gasket is probably even more rare. Hurst just has stronger name recognition when it comes to these.

OK. Either way, it's a piece of history, so I guess it's all good.
