They should be fine but it might matter on the backspacing of the wheels. I ran some 235/60/14 on my 69 conv and they rubber the subframe at full turn. Those were on 14x6 rims and I'm not sure what the backspacing was. I ran some 245/50/16's on my old 68 without any rubbing, but again I can't remember the backspacing. The 68 handled great with the wider tires.
