If you wanna see something really neat, check out rare dual-disc clutch that, I believe, was a one-year-only option in 1969. I've always been surprised that it wasn't more popular and didn't really take off. Anybody here ever fool around with one? Please don't confuse this with the Centerforce Dual Friction Clutchs either because they are two entirely different animals.

The dealer told me that I could have ordered a dual disc clutch in the Chevelle for about $96 CDN back in the day. That would probably be over $1000 in today's money, a lot of money for the average guy. Although I never had clutch problems in close to 200K miles of driving, in hind sight, it might have been good insurance. Exploding clutches are nasty. RPO MA6. Apparently none ever put in a Camaro from the factory. Was used in select big block Corvettes from Feb 1969 through 1971, mostly M22 equipped L-88 and LS-6 cars if memory serves.

My uncle has one in his W-31 Olds; very light pedal, smooth and fast. I have a complete setup for my COPO car to put behind my Jenkins motor, but it's still on the shelf.
