Default Re: 1961 Impala Bubbletop - WIW

Obviously there are alot of variables like any other car. I think 61 bubbletops have increased in popularity in recent years. Is the car a 6 cylinder a 283 or 348 or even the rare (142) 409 cars? Is it a auto or 4spd? Color and options. Is the car solid because they dont make much replacement sheetmetal for these cars.

Unfortunately I know very little about the car; I have only seen it from the street and, from what I can see, it appears to be solid. I have no idea what drivetrain is in the car although I highly doubt that it's an SS, 409 or even a 348 car. I would assume that it's a base Impala with a 6 cylinder and maybe even a 3 speed.

4-10k. The floors are normally have rust in the body mounts like 55 Chevys. Finding one thats dead nuts rust free is like finding gold chicken lips.

If it was a 62, I would say 10-20k. A friend sold his 62 bubble as a roller with 20 foot paint on it for 30k last year. It was perfect metalwise. 2 weeks before he sold it, he was still driving it.
