I agree this site is educational. Rare cars are worth a discussion as well. But IMO there are other ways of discussing a car.
"why do people leave aftermarket tire stickers on the spare tire? They never came from the factory with stickers on them" ... Educational statement!! since the car has deluxe interior that means the car originally came with a trunk mat, I would think they would WANT to cover up their ugly trunk with one ... Comedian statement!! I might be wrong?? I just feel your participation on this site would be over the top without certain everyday comments on here. I know a number of guys who have great and rare cars that are for sale that wont put them on this site for just this reason. |

They are in a whole different league of nitpickiness and for me, they are a lot bigger downer. I think you have to look at it this way; You're on a message board that is centered around discussion of LOTS of original and correctly restored muscle cars, and specifically Chevrolet stuff. Anytime you are around a group that is that specialized, you're gonna have people that are extremely honed in on the car being done correctly. That is the nature of the beast, and I think it is welcomed by a lot of people that frequent this board. I also agree with the poster that said "for $198k, it better be correct". Along that same vein, if you don't know what you're looking at and you're willing to spring for that kind of price, don't come crying to anyone here if you ever realize what you do or dont have. All that being said, pretty nice car... but I wouldn't pay what they want for it. |

As always - if you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen......... |

However, for my money, I would much rather enjoy the car then spend my time nit picking 5 or 10 details that dont make it "Concours" correct. Just me 2 cents, YMMV. |
