Dad just went through a standard one in about 1,500 miles over the summer on the 62 409 car and evidenty the solution is the billet one.

No I did not. I had forgot about the billet bearings. The one on it is the garden variety that came from the people who shortened and balanced the driveshaft. I am going to pull everything back apart for right now I just have everything mocked up. Thanks for the reminder!
