Default Re: Correct PCV for 1969 L78 Camaro

1969 Chevrolet parts catalog lists the following for PCV Valve for Spl Hi Perf - Not every model is listed, but a good base line is shown below

GR. 1.745 VALVE ASSY

6484525 VALVE ASSY., vent (CV-746C)

68-69 Corvette (H.D. 427)
68-69 Camaro (302)

6423695 VALVE ASSY., vent (CV-736C)

68-69 Corvette w/ Spl. H/Per. 427
69 Pass, Corvette (All 8 cyl.) (exc. H.D. 427)
66-68 Chevelle (396) (w/ H/Per., Spl H/Per)

Looks like the 736C is the correct PCV Valve based on the info from the GM parts catalog

Check with John Karvonen for the correct "assembly line" application. I don't believe they were purple and they were also shaped different than the replacement ones from GM. Maybe 1970 started the purple issues? Assembly line stuff is sometimes different than the NOS or over the counter parts.
