The way things read suggests the block consists of original and reproduced sections joined together..
<span style="font-style: italic">"...the block and reproduced section machined to the closest possible tolerances and the two made whole by advanced TIG welding..."</span> Obviously the original section includes the stamped deck surface but the bigger the better also hopefuly it's larger than the other piece!.
