This soulds like a car I looked at 15 years ago. Just the drive train and misc parts were left, the owner had had cut all the numbers off the car and saved them. It had a red hocky stripe. I flew to ct mads a deal- and sent a man to pick it up and the buyer changed his mind about selling it?????? is this the same car.

Yes, same car. I was naive and listened to a few Camaro people who had said it wasn't a big deal if someone else decided to rebody the car. Once I made more phone calls, the reality of it hit me and I wasn't willing to get in trouble so I changed my mind. Once the Vins crossed state lines, things would be even worse. I had the car crushed along with the metal which held the Vin numbers. This was an education for me and I didn't mean to cause you any grief. You seemed to understand the situation at the time and were pretty good about it.
