I got one from one of the resto houses for my L72 (Rick's I think). I remember looking at an original, and thinking it looked pretty darned close to the one I bought, but I did not have them side by side, so it may not have been "exact".......just looked it up in an 08 Rick's catalog. Part # RC-321.

Thats the 45 degree elbow. (RC-321) I have that same part. I need the (2) reducers. See attached pic. I have not been able to find them from any of the aftermarket companies. I may have to go through a plumbing supply place that carries brass fittings. Thanks anyhow.

I guess I should have read more carefully. I think all the connectors are NPT, so I'll bet you can find them at your local ACE. They have a whole display of brass fittings in the plumbing area.
My set up is idiot lights, not gages, but I'm almost positive my sender fits directly into the elbow, without the reducers. Not saying that is correct, just that I'm not using reducers. |

Unreal I appreciate your response's. I feel GM did not need to add all of these myself. I would rather have the sending unit go directly into the the 45 degree elbow. As I stated earlier the parts are the same if you have warning lights or gauges. I was wondering if they made the 45 degree (repro) to do away with these but would accept a larger threaded sending units. My 1969 and 1970 assembly manuals both show these, I may take your advice and see what ACE has to offer. Thanks

I have gauges in my 69 L-78 ElCamino, and there are no reducers. The sender screws directly into the 45 elbow. My 68 has reducers, but thats because the factory oil gauge is mechanical. I got those reducers at NAPA. The store by me has a big drawer unit full of fittings.
