Eight lines and no mention of the color of exterior/stripes/interior?
What about the fender tag? Broadcast sheet? V-code RRs are not terribly rare, so you don't need to kill yourself into thinking you need this car - there's plenty more around. |

Agree completely. They're way more common than a Hemi car. I'm a little surprised they weren't even more common. The increase in performance over a 383 car versus the cost made the Six Bubble about the best deal ever to show up in a Chrysler showroom. |

On the other hand, there's some very rare V-codes out there too, like any ragtop, Coronet R/Ts, any 1971 (and 1972!) car, and Sport Fury GTs.

They did made a few 6 pack cars but not alot by any means compared to alot of other performance cars. A Purple, Numbers Matching, Air Grabber, Stick car, with a sheet is a desirable car to alot of Mopars guys in my book.. sure it aint a Hemi but I can tell you if it was a real Purple car with a stick and a sheet you wouldnt touch it for under 150k in todays market.

I don't believe any 70 V code, Road Runner or GTX, will pull 150k right now, purple or not. Hell, 69 1/2 M codes aren't even bringing that much lettuce, and they've always been the more desireable car. This car sounds like it needs everything. I've heard of a B5 V-code four speed post for sale up in northeast Kansas. Similar condition to this car for 25 grand. It's been for sale for 9 months and no takers. |

Agreed - the only V-code bringing that kind of money will be a Superbird or a ragtop (and, at B-J, even the latter didn't do that).

If the car needs a total restoration, I would not be a buyer at $40K. Does it have a numbers block? Restoration costs would put you under water on the car pretty quickly. They are fun cars and very fast, I had a tor-red 1970 GTX 440+6 with super drag pac 4:10 and it would run - actually a bit rarer than the RR. (I paid $8K for mine years ago). Sold it to restore my 69 GT500 Shelby.

I was saying you couldnt touch a Numbers Matching Purple HEMI RR with this cars options and a Buildsheet for under $150k In todays market.
I think this 6 pack car restored to a very nice level would be about 75k into days market.. JMO

Yes the motor and transmission is numbers matching, the vin matches the vin on the broadcast sheet, tags and scecret vin on the rad support.I confimrmed that it is truly an in-violet RR.Car came with hood stripes (black)No longer the original organisol tectured paint.Although this guy is saying its original paint.Car looks to have been repainted from the belt line down, hood was repainted and the rest was buffed .Interior is white - no yellowed. This guy is asking in the mid fifties for this car and for amount of money I would have to put into it 30 to 40K I think he is asking way too much.Bob

Also be ready to maintain the delicate 6 pak set up.
That carb set up is a pain to keep tuned all the time. The Six Pak Runs fantastic only if the carbs are running right.
