Another member here and I were talking back and forth. He just picked up a 1969 CE block and noticed that it had "T029" stamped on the bottom near the starter area.
I just looked at my 1971 CE block, which was cast Jan. 30 of 1971 and it has "T031" in the same area. I am going to check out my 1974 CE block for my car when it returns from the machine shop. Has anyone ever done any research on this? We are starting to think they were stamping the month and year when the final machining was done. His would be February of 1969 and mine would be March of 1971. Does anyone else have a CE block handy to see if theirs has the same stampings down by the starter? Kurt
