Been in bussiness since 1919 and GM is pulling there franchise! I am shocked as i thought they were one of the largest dealers in the state. Whenever I purchased a new truck they were always the best price. Grossman sold many Yenko's and other High performance vehicles.

Wow! What a shocker! I was there in 1995-96. That was a great dealership. Sad to see it close.

A shame but not new news as they were on last year's cut-lists..
Is this the same Grossman that was part of the Yenko network?. Who's left in operation today that was in the Yenko dealer network anyway?. ~ Pete

That is very sad. Grossman has been around for a long time and has been good to our family since the 70's. I have likely purchased at least 10 vehicles from them since the mid eighties most of them new cars/trucks in the last 10 years and as Chad said, were always the best price in town. They were also a huge sponsor of our car club, North American Super Sports back in the 80's and our first two National Conventions were held at the store in Burnsville. I got to know a lot of people there that will now be losing their jobs. What a waste of a beautiful building as well and for a Cosco!!

a LOT of the long established GM and Chrysler dealers were axed after the new Obommy Motors transition took place. Good, productive, high volume dealers ...
Some were doing volumes that were leading in their zones Most ALL had contributed to the OTHER political party ... They say if you sell your soul the devil will make you pay ... too bad GM & Chrysler couldn't do like Ford did ...

hi, the grossman chev on lake st, closed about the early 80's. the one in burnsville , not the same people. but a relative. used the same name.I worked for 2 dealerships on lake st, before the neighborhood, turned bad, all the new car dealerships moved to the burb's , anderson dodge was the last to move they, were on about lake before cedar ave. by the late 80,s ealy 90's they were all moved. any body out there from the twin cities's , remember porkey's drive in's, drag racing, sears motors, lake calhoun, marc. allen motors, kline and grossman chev. pentel pontiac. In the sixtes? All the muscle cars. races and fun all in one place. Bob krueger ( plus 2 yenko dealers, kline 68, grossman 69. all this on about a 4 mile streach of lake st.Those were the day's my friend, we though they would never! nobody did. Bob k.

Pete, I hear that the yenko paperwork was copied from the one's in 68 the camaros, some say only 6, some say as many as 12, from kline chev. That was done in 1976, but good idea!I also hear that an, all stock island teal, was found about over a year ago, from that paper work. the days we though would never end, a long with the dealerships and almost all the paperwork did. Bob krueger.
