That would be pretty cool - an original paint red 67 RS-Z28 finding it's born with engine. Gotta love the internet.

UPDATE: I spoke with the owner of the 67 Z28 and he and I have worked out a deal that's fair to both of us and the engine is going to be pulled and shipped back to the owner to be reinstalled back in the car it belongs in!!

COOL news!.
How far apart had they strayed from each other and is there any story known of why they got separated in the first place?. ~ Pete

The car had the engine removed in Orange County around 1977 and then got shipped to an indan reservation where it sat for 30 years. The owner gave the car to his son who sold it to a friend of his and it was moved to Michigan. The current owner bought it last year and brought it back to California where it is curently undergoing restoration. It is also a rare Cowl Plenum Rally sport car.
The T-bucket hit the car show circuit in 1977 and bounced around the country winding up in Tampa Florida where it is today. |

That's awesome. Now go buy a lottery ticket. You definitely have some good Karma leftover from this good deed.

That is great! How did you find out where the car was and who owned it?
